Kenny Scharf (b. 1958) was a key member of the underground east village art scene in the early 1980s, along with Keith Haring and Jean-Michel Basquiat. Scharf rose to prominence with his psychedelic graffiti inspired work. Scharf rose to prominence credited with bringing the artist into an edgier, more youthful downtown club scene after a decade of ’70s disco decadence. Scharf claimed Warhol to be one of his most significant influences.

Alba Clemente (b. unknown) was an Italian-born actress and costume designer and wife of painter Francesco Clemente, who collaborated with AW and Jean-Michel Basquiat in the
1980s. She was an integral part of their art and social scene and AW noted her allure in his diaries.

Francesco Clemente (b. 1952) is an Italian figurative painter who rose to stardom in the
1980s. He is known for incorporating non-western spirituality in his imagery, which is informed, in part, by frequent trips to India. He gained notoriety in the Venice Biennale in
1980, and moved to New York City in 1981. He collaborated with AW and Jean-Michel Basquiat on a series of paintings commissioned by Swiss dealer Bruno Bischofberger in 1984.
