One-of-a-kind black & white print shot by Andy Warhol
1983
Tina Chow (1950–1992) was model and jewelry designer, and former wife of Michael Chow. An early-’80s “it girl,” Chow began as a model for Shiseido when she was quite young and was later sought after for her sophisticated androgynous style. After her split with Michael she became one of the first high-profile women to contract HIV/AIDS. Chow was an outspoken activist raising awareness of the disease, which finally killed her in 1992.
